![]() ![]() ![]() Now it can be your goal to find out where that weak spot of his is and launch an attack there. Or if you are nervous because a part of your line is less defended than it probably should be, you should realize that your opponent likely has the same issue in a spot of his line. For example if you ever are thinking, "Man I would hate it if my opponent dropped an SF team in my main right now", you should do that to your opponent. Use these kinds of efficient units to defend your territory and spend the most of your income on building a good ground attack force for your chosen target (tanks, infantry/combat transports, recon, AA)ģ.) Be annoying If you are ever in a stalemate situation and are lost as to what to do next, you should think about what you would hate to have happen to you at that moment, and then do that to your enemy. They can snipe heavy tanks from really far away and make an enemy think twice about advancing without a lot of AA. Good attack choppers can also be incredible for defending an armored attack. A few well placed ATGM team can hold off a huge ground attack and give your time to send reinforcements to defend the next attempt. You just have to make sure that your atgm guys stay supplied. Units like ATGM squads, good recon, cheap Stinger squads, and 1 atgm attack chopper are really good for defending the territory you already hold. Defend your home territory efficiently- What I mean my this is basically that you want to defend your held territory with the least amount of resources possible to hold it, while concentrating your new units for an attack somewhere else. But make sure to look out for these things and make adjustments to your deck based on what your goals are for a game.Ģ.) Concentrate your forces in contested areas. You'll figure out a plan after playing a lot of games and noticing things yourself about how the maps play, what you are strong or weak against, where the hotly contested zones on the map usually are, etc. If I kill a significant amount of his AA I start bombing him with planes, while sending all new units (tanks, infantry with good transports, recon, etc) to the front with the eventual goal of pushing a big armored attack through the holes I have blown open in his lines with my mortars and aircraft. Even if I don't kill the AA units that I spot, it makes them waste ammo on my useless transports (unless they actually micro the units and turn the weapons off, this is rare at the low-mid level. ![]() This spots targets for my mortars, especially enemy AA. After the first deployment is good, then I use the empty transport helicopters as recon by flying them into enemy territory. My goal is to drop infantry and recon squads into forests/towns deep into the hot parts of the map early on and secure the obvious points with cvs, making sure to spread recon around the map and move my mortars/aa into good positions covering the infantry. For example my US deck utilizes airborne infantry, lots of recon, mortars, and air-power and at the start of every game I have a rough plan of what I plan to do with each type of unit. My knowledge of specific units, current metagame, and tactics is not great, but if you are a newer player to this game/strategy games in general I think these ideas will help you begin think about the game in a strategical way.ġ.) Build your deck with a goal in mind As I mentioned before, many people on this forums have a much better understanding of deck building and units than I do, but I've found that I have had much more success in my games when I know the strengths and weaknesses of my nation/sub-type and craft an army that is designed to execute a plan suited to their strengths. I just wanted to write up a short summary of what I have learned in the few years I've been playing this game as a mostly casual player. ![]()
